Fontainebleau & a little Paris

Fontainebleau
It is the biggest and most developed bouldering area in the world.
French alpine climbers practiced bouldering there since the 19th century.
It remains today a prime climbing location.

After playing around Fontainebleau's boulder land we made our way to Paris...
                                      Paris

                                          Eiffel Tower
Eiffel art along the walkway

                                                               La tour Eiffel
a global culture Icon of France and one of the most recognizable structures in the world.
The tower is the tallest structure in Paris and the most-visited paid monument in the world.
The tower is 324 metres (1,063 ft) tall
Three years of construction from 7 December 1887-5 March 1889

 Engineer, GUSTAVE EFFEL wrote:
"not only the art of the modern engineer, but also the century of Industry and Science in which we are living, and for which the way was prepared by the great scientific movement of the eighteenth century and by the Revolution of 1789, to which this monument will be built as an expression of France's gratitude."
Even in the Rain,Paris still has its charm.

                              Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile
Arch of Triumph of the Star
Honoring  those who fought and died for France in the French Revolutionary and the Napoleonic Wars, with the names of all French victories and generals inscribed on its inner and outer surfaces. Beneath its vault lies the Tomb of the unknown soldier from World War I.
(memories of all soldiers, Marines, airmen and sailors killed in war.)

Tanks for the LOVE Paris.
 Now back to Bocholt.
