The Swiss Alps & Luzern

                               Switzerland
                                  Mt.Pilatus
In late medieval times a dragon was said to live on the mountain. A particularly vivid account was written in 1619: 'as I was contemplating the serene sky by night, I saw a very bright dragon with flapping wings go from a cave in a great rock in the mount called Pilatus toward another cave, known as Flue, on the opposite side of the lake'
Mt.Pilatus is a mountain overlooking Lucern in Central Switzerland
where we stayed with our dear friend Martin.
We set out to find some rock climbing around Pilatus today...
Just for a few hours to get a taste of the Swiss alps ....

this resulted in an unexpected 9 hour hike 2,128 m (6,982 ft) up Mt. Pilautus
One of the most intensive, unplanned yet beautifully stunning and rewarding hikes I have ever experienced in my  l life!

I hope you enjoy the photo journey!

It all began here...

We were already feeling the midday heat and we where ready to jump into the lake

Breathtaking beauty from the start.

Steph the cow whisperer.

Swiss cows and their non-stop clanging cowbells around their necks ...this is one mountain tune that does not require "more cowbell"

Baby cow....

Water is my element,I can't stay out of it!

Frrrrrrrrrreshhhhhhh mountain water!

A Day in Berne with Martin
The "Reitschule Bern" is an autonomous cultural and meeting centre.

The building "Riding Bern" was built in 1897 and  used as a riding school.
Later, when the cars replaced the four-legged friends, it was used as  a warehouse.

Now a cultural center, no other cultural and politically active center in Bern or even in Switzerland was able to stay as long.
events ranging from concerts to theater and film screenings,
 performances, exhibitions and literary readings.
Here actions against racism, sexism, exploitation, and fascism and for
worldwide liberation fights are organized and carried out.
This center is free from any Government involvement.

                                                                    Is it time now?
     Time arises in the heart.
Time is not the chronological order of seconds. It is perceived time. Time arises in the heart. Heartbeat connects us to the people around the world, the clock strikes the beat of the people outside the Central European world.

The Zytglogge tower is a landmark medieval tower in Bern, Switzerland.
Built in the early 13th century, it has served the city as guard tower, prison, clock tower,
centre of urban life and civic memorial.
